Wildlife photographer/filmmaker Sandesh Kadur, a featured speaker at the Wildlife Week at PageTurners, spent some time with us and an audience of wildlife enthusiasts and photographers among others, on the 12th of February, 2011.
With a short film on a few images from his travels and experiences in the wild, Sandesh gave us a beautiful glimpse into the world that he explored in the making of his book,’Sahydris’. This beautiful coffee table book on India’s Western Ghats features nearly 400 stunning photographs that capture India’s beauty and vanishing heritage.
Sandesh’s documentary Sahyadris: Mountains of the Monsoon, earned worldwide acclaim and an array of prestigious international awards, while drawing attention to one of the world’s top biodiversity hotspots.
With several subjects left to explore, many beautiful images to be seen and teasers of his documentaries to come, Sandesh left the enamored audience asking for more. Obligingly signing copies of his book and interacting with those present, he left us hoping he will be back for another session at PageTurners soon!
